What are nic salts?
E-liquids come in two different variations, freebase nicotine, and nic salts, or nicotine salts to give them their Sunday name.
Nic salts are made when freebase nicotine is mixed with benzoic or citric acid. As a result of this chemical combination, the nic salts are absorbed into your bloodstream more quickly, meaning you get a quick and powerful hit of nicotine.
But that’s not all! The acid lowers the PH level of the nic salts, meaning you get a smoother, more pleasant throat hit.
Do nic salts contain salt?
Nope. The ‘salt’ in nic salts refers to a chemical reaction that takes place in the nicotine rather than the white stuff you put on your chips!
So don’t worry; you’ll get a smooth, not salty flavour.
When should I choose nic salts for vaping?
If you’ve just quit the cigarettes, nic salts deliver nicotine to your bloodstream in a similar way to smoking. So if you’re new to vaping or ready to stop smoking in the near future, nic salts are the way to go.
Nic salts are also the ideal choice if you’re a heavy smoker used to smoking 20 or more cigarettes a day. As nic salts are smooth at high doses, they’re ideal if you’re looking for a high-strength e-liquid to curb your cravings.
However, nic salts are great at lower strengths too! They’re the perfect option if you’re a social smoker who likes a smooth throat hit.
Most of our nic salts are available in a variety of strengths: 3mg, 6mg, 12mg, and 18mg. Just pick the strength that best suits your needs.
Are nic salts good for making clouds?
If you’re a cloud chaser, nic salts aren’t the best option. This is because nic salts are usually a mix of 50% VG and 50% PG, which means they produce less vapour than 70/30 e-liquids.
However, if you want a discrete vape and not to be surrounded by white clouds that smell of berries, nic salts are a fantastic choice!
What device works best with nic salts?
If you opt for nic salts, you’re best off with a lower-wattage piece of hardware like a vape pen or pod device. This is because high-wattage devices deliver more nicotine, and we don’t want you getting overpowered!
